Central Ga | Every farm and every situation is unique. Farming for me is still a way of life, but I have to look at every decision from a business perspective. Most farmers are optimists and take a tremendous amount of pride in their crops. No one ever wants to give up on a crop but once you realize you are in the red and it is not going to get any better, to keep pouring money into a crop just to say you didn't quit is financial suicide. Just because 1000 Moline does not clean up his planters until August does not mean that will work for anyone else, even his next door neighbor. | |
