Clicker,

I presume you are in an area where there are a lot of what I call "crop insurance farmers". I get frustrated with some of those types too. However, I feel a lot of the issues are a direct result of how the policies are written.

I have elected to pp some acres this year for the first time ever. I sincerely wish the rma would rewrite the policy to encourage guys to keep planting or to switch to other crops. I see a lot of opportunity to help both farmers and insurance loss ratios.

One of the rma approved providers collected my premium to protect me against certain risks and they write the policy language. Since I can't write my own policy, I have to make decisions based on the one rma developed.

Having farmed in another country at one point in my life, I feel blessed to have the crop insurance that we have in this country.
