NC Iowa Thompson
I am an old geezer according to my boys ( middle 60's ) only started buying insurance a few years ago. You have to know a cut off date of which to stop planting. I still would like to plant a pond but with 2 inches of rain in 2 days I am stopping that thought. Your first job is too know your are running a business just like everybody else. We farmers are notorious for wanting everything green ,sometime life does not hand us this hand.As far as what you have bought to protect your lively hood is your business and you have use every tool in your tool belt to stay in business .
We are no different that any other business , years ago when I sold insurance our company was ask to cover a big name basketball player for injury and life. He turned out to have AIDS. I remember him speaking after the test results and he could get an understanding of what just happened to his life, he thanked us for saving his life. What i am trying to say we all use the tools given us to stay in business.
