Ripley, Ontario Canada | I know straw is expensive (at least here) but that is a decent looking crop, why not take it to harvest and combine it and bale the straw, would be more $ even if you don't get quite as much straw due to harvest loss. You can cut wheat at the ground when you combine it, you just have to slow down with the combine. Lots of livestock guys here cut with the head touching the ground doing wheat or small grains and only leave a couple inches of stubble, they want straw. | |
