At that growth stage we are still making second pass to kill weeds. It seems counter productive. Why not just let the weeds go. Don't get me wrong I like the idea of cover crops but have a hard time seeding what could be considered weeds. How much of the npk will the cover crop take away from the current crop? How big will all of it be by harvest?
My thoughts exactly... Seems like all your doing at this stage is getting competition for the commercial crop off to a head start?
I guess I don't understand this practice lol. |
