Subject: RE: Ford 8340

Chilliwack, British Columbia
We have a 8800hr 8340SLE, and as far as I'm concerned its near the end of its life, at least here. For many years had electrical issues, finally discovered it was a $40 relay that was intermittent. Fixing that made it a lot nicer machine, it was once more fairly reliable.

Tranny seems OK once you get used to it, and when it works, its the coldest AC on the farm! It may end up staying here for a while yet, we keep fixing the small issues, and big ones are few and far between. Im just rambling now but for a loader tractor, I would keep looking for something with a power shuttle, clutching all the time gets old.

OH yeah, and ours is an early White Top, I believe ours is from 1991, the first year of production.

Glenn
