I have them in a pure no-till (into corn stalks) field. No cover crop. I've had them occasionally in the past. Always before when they would be really bad, the coyotes would move in, dig them up and the problem would go away for several years. Hope that is the case again. I did see some signs of digging in that field the other day. I was at a meeting the other day and according to a crop consultant it seems to be a wide-spread problem in this area this year. Edit to add: I haven't seen a red-tailed hawk all spring. And I see more rabbits than normal too.
