jddriver - 6/14/2015 16:40 He showed me the receipts> He has farmed it for years paid substandard rent has done nothing to entice me to keep him farms straight over the terraces and filled them in.I bought this farm for me to have IT IS NOT AN INVESTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!He is a bto that bullies his way in .This his last year no matter what.Typical big cash renter could care less how he takes care of my ground
How long have you owned this ground? If you actually cared about the land and he's been farming it the way you say, Then why in the world wasn't he kicked off before this? Doesn't make sense to me. I never heard of a way that a BTO could bully a landlord. We bought the place he had a lease and spent a LOT of money to inform me how long he had it and you have never heard of bto bulling someone ...........really you new here

Well here they kinda do that, tried renting back some ground from a BTO that took some ground away from us by taking the landowner on a hunting trip. He was paying $95 an acre for the ground when prices were high and it is a good farm. Will easily do 185bu/a on average. Called the LL up and was asking him about working with him again and I offered him a price for the ground (based on rent and bonus if crop and price were good) and he told me that it doubled up what he was giving. The contract was up that year. Called back and said he couldn't do it as the guy said he had invested all this money into his ground and thats why he hasn't been paying him the high rent. I said that he had a track hoe in their which was his anyway and buried a tree in the middle of the field and he scraped some limbs down off the trees on one side of the farm. Took him about 8 hrs to do it all.
Meanwhile he is withholding an extra $100 an acre from the LL minimum over 220 acres.

Whats funny is that we have done track hoe and dozer work to several of our farms and the LL then sold the ground within the year one not even telling us it was for sale. The others we knew they were going to be but they were poor farms and he was wanting waaaayyyy to much. Can't afford 7K ground when the crops are 130/ 35 on average and prices were only 4.50 bu and projected to go lower.
