John I really like that quote . I know from the notilling we have been doing the last 20+ years if we don't follow a cover after soybeans we get washing as bad as conventional till in places, WHY we ask. I was talking with Ray Archuleta the other day and think We have found out that our high legume crops like soybean puts so much N into the ground it destroys aggregate stability.


I'll bet it is more from the fact that corn returns 25-30 ton of cornstalks per.acre and beans will be lucky return 8 Ton of residue.
