I wouldn't doubt that 175 is well below costs on irrigated ground. Sure there is insurance, and some guys can even make a profit on insurance. I am not in that camp, it just limits the bleeding.
I used to be jealous of irrigation, cause you can make it rain when you want. Used to be...... I don't have any, but I don't have high land taxes, fee's for the electric just to be there even if you don't turn it on, maintenance on the thing, time to drive back and forth, ect ect. | |
