+1 on harvesting at an angle. I have found they feed much better at just a slight angle. not a true 45. Have a guy I custom for try it every so often on a field or 2 and its never a noticeable yield difference from his other comparable fields. Neighbor of ours splits all his beans on on an angle and they usually turn out fine.
