Subject: Non-gmo soybeans, herbicide and cover crops

just south of Indianapolis
I'm wanting to seed ARG, oats, and possibly canola into non-gmo soybeans. I'm concerned about my stand success related to what I post my beans with.

Right now I've got Flexstar with Select sitting in the shop, but I'm starting to worry about Flexstar's half life, even if I'm not using a full rate, I'm wanting to seed the covers early, near Labor Day (if circumstances allow).

I used Matador (metribuzin, metachlor, imazethapyr) with Glypho in burndown and outside of some rough sand the burndown has held very well. Do I need the Flexstar or can I get by with something that won't hang around in the soil so long so I can get my stand established AND not sacrifice yield? (Cobra? Classic? Basagran?)

Thanks in advance.
