90% of our marestail comes up in may.

Here as well. The chemical dealer was talking to another customer and told him to just spray a pint of Outlaw (banvel and 2,4-D) in the fall and he wouldn't have any marestail in the spring. I sprayed a pint of Outlaw plus a cup of LV 6 during that warm spell in early April, and a lot of marestail came up since then.

+1. BTDT. I'm sick of people making recommendations behind a desk and not with their boots on the ground. You get this deer in the headlights look from any university weed specialist and they don't believe you when you tell them. There is a population of marestail that has become a spring annual weed. And you need a good ALS type product to control it.
