I think is has something to do with showing Seinfeld really isn't that funny without a supporting cast.

All of the computer ad's seem stupid to me.  I'd show people editing family pictures, taking out the old wife or husband.  Doing their creative bookkeeping to avoid the IRS.  Playing free music and video's that they downloaded from the internet.  Of emailing one of the thousands of FWD's that all the relatives just love to get.
