I would agree with the others about the either too wet cold/ of good corn over the knife because of soil temps. I plant coc strips usually with 160 u but I had a variable rate field where many rates were over 200. My rule on spring strips in 2 weeks or 1" of rain before I plant, and in the last 5 years of this program have never had any root burn. Everyone has always told me I'm crazy, but I trust my results more than others opinions. Have you done any root digs to look for the possibility of sidewall compaction.."here" 90% of the time that's the culprit.
