Subject: RE: Units or pounds

SCIA
18-46-0: 100 pounds of product has 18 units (pounds) of N and 46 units (pounds) of Phosphate.
Nh3: 100 pounds has 82 units(pounds) of N in it.

It, here, is a way to tell the difference , when ordering fertilizer, exactly how much of what you really want.

Call the COOP and order 160 pounds of N. What do I want? 160 pounds of product, which equals 131.2 units of N or 160 of actual N which equals 195.2 of product.

So, when ordering, here, units mean actual N, whereas pounds means product.
