Owensville, MO | Just wanted to bring this back to the top since it is such a widespread issue. Marestail has quickly become problem number one in this area. Because of all the rain we have had big issues getting into the field to spray burndown. Lot's of guys spraying big marestail with lots of different stuff and not much of it is working. Gramoxone is NOT killing it here. Guys are now spraying with liberty and that is getting it. Others have switched to liberty beans to try and kill it in crop. I sprayed the following mix on May 19:
Gly 32oz.
Sharpen 1oz.
Sonic 4oz.
Sencor 4oz.
AMS 2lbs./acre
Exuro oil 1/2 gallon per 100gal water
Cost me $40 per acre including application. This picture was taken on May 24. Notilled beans in on May 28 and they are coming out as of yesterday. This absolutely smoked a lot of 2ft. tall marestail. As of yesterday I could not find any survivors.
