small timer I think i understand where your thought process is.    don't know if this going to pan out and hate to have too many "hard" assets sitting around.

so here is where i'm at with what you are contemplating.

if you are working with another guy in your harvesting program, and you got a fulltime job, you need something that your combine guy can keep loading into without problems.   last thing you need is a call at work about some auger or dryer that won't start, or you get off work and you get home and try to start the dryer in the rain or dark.    or you couldn't run the dryer the night before and everything is full yet and your combine guy has no place to go with the next days harvest.     simple is good, might possibly cost you more, but it will keep you sane.
