From that description you might be looking at a Farm Fans AB 180, and those were good reliable dryers that were popular around there. Schultz would be your dealer, call 608-253-5521 for Greg Schultz. They do control the load and unload so you don't need to babysit. But do make sure the unload safety works properly as it is what keeps you from coming home to a 400 bushel pile behind the dryer if a belt would break on the grain bin auger. If I were in your shoes I'd hope it was a 180 and $3000 isn't a bad price even if it does need some work. They are pretty simple to fix too.

I have a CFAB 270 and work with Greg when I need something. Mine will batch or continuous flow with a flick of a switch but there is rarely a time you'll want to do that.

Meet with Greg and see what he has to offer both in used dryers and information about parts and service.

Jim
