I'm in kinda the same boat as you. I need a bin and dryer. My thoughts are skip the batch dryer and all those augers altogether. My thought plan is a 7-10k bushel bin, with stir all and fan/burner units. If weather is warm enough when you shell corn, you could just dry with air, or add a little heat if needed. One bin will dry and store your crop. Less footprint, less stuff to maintain and babysit. Just my thoughts, and are the thoughts if a couple of my neighbors and the bin company I talked with. Plus these size bins people are ( well were before grain priced started dropping) getting rid of to make space for larger bins, could possibly get used bin put up at your place for 50-75% of cost of a new if your budget is really tight.
