I think you are right Dave,, I read it too fast.. The article states that she could possibly get 41 to 51 months in Prison... not that she was already sentenced. Then the article goes on to say that they may allow her to report to Prison in September when her Sister and Mother can be available to take care of her Children. So from reading that article, it sounds like she has not actually been given her sentence yet.

People them make comments on MILive.com that $40,000 is not a lot of money .. however in the Big Picture,, local Creditors are out over 20 Million.. Plus Stamp out bid many small farmers on land that they needed to make a living off from... Then when many local farmers were hoping to get some acres back another big Farmer came in .. got all of Stamps Equipment and leased all the land with Bank bought pivots on them.. The way I see it the rent was way too high on these irrigated acres .. had not the new Farmer gotten a Cherry of a deal by getting all of the pivots thrown in.
I think Wells Fargo got most of their money back, but most of the unsecured creditors got nothing .. It took everything that Stamp had to satisfy Wells Fargo . |
