Hunted around a little and the general history is the grandson of the founder was the badass mostly because of oil, but he put it all together and made it work. His daughter "Electra" started the chips tumbling in the early eighties. She tried to send it to auction and it's been in court ever since. My research didn't really pass judgment as to weather she was on the good or bad side. She passed away in the last decade and it finally came to a head. I'm sure it caused plenty of bad memories but the good has to outweigh the bad. Can you imagine growing up on this place, especially the cowboys and managers kids! They got it to run with 120 employees. How efficiently I don't know. That oil check made a helluva difference. The question that keeps coming up in my mind is the lack of water works? Where is the huge water storage. The number one resource is water. Where is the dam? I know they have lakes, but where is the reservoir? Just thoughts to ponder.
