All loans could be extinguished without the creation of more new money.  What you are failing to recognize is that when a loan is paid off only the principle portion is destroyed.  The interest portion represents revenue for the bank shareholders and is available to circulate in the economy and eventually be used by other debtors to reduce the principle on their own loans.  So what you say is technically incorrect.
