+ 1. I think Auction Time would say, "We don't encourage bidding up your own item, but we can't police/enforce it." I'm not real sure why some folks are upset if it goes for the next bid after theirs. Why not put in your max bid, walk away, if you get it fine, if you don't that's fine too. You were only willing to pay so much, end of story. If there is something fishy going on and they bid once over you (thinking you will raise your bid and you don't) how IS THAT HELPING THEM? They still own their piece and have to pay the commission to boot.
