Thanks for replying. If a National company isn't on the up and up it doesn't take long in this age of instant communication for them to be exposed. RBURK posted about the local auctioneer making it bring what the (out of towner) gave him to spend and that was all good with the (locals). Don't know how many farms the local colonel sold to his absentee landlord only to see it listed in the register of deeds as someone else or never selling period. Watched him sell a club onetime. The bidding was hot and heavy until some poor smuck that wasn't in on the "game" raised his hand. You never saw a sale close as quickly as that one did. That old saying "buyer beware" still holds where ever you go. Dirt
