On some online auctions like Cornlea Iron must know your max bid. I have on numerous occasions put in a high max bid and sure enough just before auction closes mysteriously gets bid up to your max bid. I no longer put in a max bid for cornlea iron as they (auction company) obviously can see your max bid. Online auctions are definitely a buyer beware.
