Soldiers Grove Wi. 54655 | I'm thinking I need to take an oil sample before I take it over to them again also to see what shows up as far as if there is metal in the oil right now and again after they fix it... He did agree it's their "duty" to have the machine running like new when they are done with repairing it but at this time I'm really wondering just how good it will be... The first Gehl I had was a 4840 and was about 4-5 years old when I traded it in with only about 1000 hours on it.. With that machine my auxiliary hydraulic pump went out at 550 hours.. That cost me around $700 when it was all said and done so I figured with this machine I was going to buy the extra protection plan for sure...
Actually when the service rep was out to the farm with this deal on April 23rd/24th or so I asked him beings it didn't make the noise when it was running full throttle if it was good to run it like that and he told me not to as it would just be sending metal fines through the entire hyd. system.. As I mentioned this all went back to over a year ago when I was hearing noise like a wheel bearing going out but they just said drive it till it got worse...Then in July I made them come out as it was really growling and they said the same as they were worried it wasn't bad enough for them to get reimbursed... Of course in December when I finally took it over as it was really bad they figured out it was the main drive..
Guess I'll see what happens,,, I don't want to mention any Implement dealer names of course unless they really don't take care of things like they should but it really feels like I'm getting the run around pretty bad already~
