Subject: RE: Why Did Farmers Always Dress Up (Old Farm Pics)

Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa
Sometimes, they may not be particularly "dressed up".... My dad always wore starched, pressed service pants, somewhat like you see today in equipment dealerships or such.
Our son and I had a discussion along this line recently....I'm of an age where girls were not allowed to wear any sort of pants or slacks to school. No jeans, no khakis, nothing of that sort. No ladies ever wore slacks or pants in public....only to the garden or something like that kind of work.
It was a different world.
