I think that seal is just an o-ring. Should be just like changing from 540 to 1000, nose it off in a ditch and whip out the vice-grips. Pull the shaft, pick out old o-ring and pop in the new, take the barrel of an ink-pen and roll around to seat the new one. Easy from here:)
