east central iowa | Don't know how steep or your soil type but here to go over 4 ft and the conditions aren't ideal which is most days in the fall or you get a couple inches of frost in the ground you need 3 tractors sometimes but most the time you will need two. I finally bought a gold digger and put a d8h on the front of it. Only need help pulling when it's really muddy or a very deep main. Also It's paid for itself in other projects waterways tree removal etc get a big one if you get a dozer. Check around for guys to move it for you. I have a guy move mine charged me 150 dollars to move it 10 miles to a farm I just bought. Might be slower driving back to main but I don't pre rip anything and don't need another guy pulling me when you don't have lots of help that is a huge savings | |
