Missouri | That's a good idea, but you also need to consider the check valve in the leader hose, and the reed valve in the cylinder head. If the compressor has sucked dust, there will be dust contamination everywhere. Dust in the air lines gums up valves, it gums up the check valve, and dusted reed valves don't seal well either. Rebuilding is a good idea, but if you don't get everything, it doesn't help.
Another guy's idea for sourcing the complete pump from amazon doesn't sound bad either.
I would desperately love to find a source for a super heavy duty filter that could stand up to this harsh environment. When the compressor is not mounted at the front of the tongue, a long suction line to the cab is not always practical. | |
