| When you started college Farming was still great financially, it sucks now. That is probably the reason that your dad is worried about letting you in full time now. HAVE YOU LOOKED AT ANY OF THE FARMS FINANCIALS SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN BACK FROM COLLEGE? I am close to your dad's age. He probably farmed through the 80s. Unless the farm has a decent owned land base with a lot of equity he is probably worried. It might be that he doesn't want you dependent on the farm for full time income until this storm blows over. Like the others have said you need to keep building your business and your net worth. May be you dad feels that if this storm lasts any longer he and your uncle can run the farm with your part time help and no hired man. | |
