Zabcikville, TX | I was "left out" of the family farm. I kinda/sorta know how you feel. Is my brother wrong for taking over, absolutely not. Was my father wrong for offering it to him and not me? Absolutely not. I chose a path to start having kids and get a "normal" job. You've already got that "normal" job. Let's face it, the hired man is requiring less capital than you will. Your father, and uncle, are teaching you a lesson that you don't quite understand right now. All in due time, all in due time. I'm SURE what they are doing (before they retire) is seeing whether or not you want to keep it going. You can make money anywhere. BUT, do you love the farm enough to forego money and do what's best for the business. I know firsthand, It stings, I KNOW that!!!! Bide your time, help when you can, and just be PATIENT!!!!!! My grandmother used to say "it'll all come out in the wash", it always does!!!
