From a business prospective u should be counting ur blessings. Cause ur dad should have let you go instead of listening to you questioning his managing. Your a part time helper no matter what way u look at it with focuses other places. Focus on your business and help ur dad out and don't question ur boss. If u don't like it I'm sure u can work part time for other farmers.
My side business goes along great with farming, some of the time I get help from my father... He too runs a side business that often overlaps with the type of work I do. Does that mean he is a part time farmer as well? I agree that from a business perspective I should not question the boss, but believe it or not emotion is involved when it is my own dad...
All my equipment for my business is kept down at the farm. I see my family almost daily even when not farming.
I have had the opportunity to work full time for another farmer. I turned it down thinking my place was on our own farm. I guess that was a mistake.
