I have seen what you want but no idea what it is called. It has sort of a bullet on the inside that has a little hole in it. When oil flows one way, the bullet is forced into the hole and oil can only flow through the little orifice. When oil flows the other way, the bullet comes out of hole and oil flows freely. I had one on planter markers years back. About 1/16" hole in the part that moved.

Check valve that leaks? Probably not an engineering term.

Or these adjustable ones, check valve goes closed and oil is forced through adjustable opening. Oil flows free the other way.
