I have had this same problem over the years(changed liner and feed wheels also) and never really figured out why it happens. My wire would actually weld itself inside the tip. I used a lot of the nozzle dip and changed tips frequently and this seemed to help. Another poster said they used a bigger bore size tip to help, I could never make that work either. I would be interested hear how you come out on this.
