Casey Iowa | if you had worked hard, made good money management decisions and r in the position that you own 1,500 acres free and clear and rent 1,500 acres and you have a good line of equipment and you own your whole crop and you have a million $ in cash in the bank.....why on earth would you quit doing what you enjoy and are good at unless you had some health or age reason for quitting!!
I think going out on top is one of the most respectable and intelligent things a person can do in life, but if you are in the aforementioned position and you are 40 years old....why not farm for another 10-15 years or more to see your kids pick up the slack "if they want to" when you are ready to retire and slow down.
