Subject: RE: Jd 568 bailer

Had the same problem with my 568 also. Dealer told me to make sure the knife is very sharp as they have changed the way they make their wrap. They also told me to shim up the brake, which made a small difference. I finally cured my problem when I tightened up the tray under the back door that helps the belts grab the wrap as it starts. There are just one bolt on each side that you loosen and slide the bar up. That seemed to take care of my problems. This has been the only JD baler I have ever had problems with the net wrap since my first 567 that had it. I am no way a JD man, but I would never trade my JD baler for any other. I have baled next to many Vermeer and NH balers and none have performed as good as the JD. Any baler that can make a 2000# grass/alfalfa bale in 50 seconds (that's door open to door open) is one good baler. What has everyone else been seeing for performance?
