Subject: RE: Fierce herbicide

WC Iowa
I used Fierce on 2500 acres last year (no-till 15" and conventional till 30") and it worked very well on waterhemp. Residual lasted 70 days with the right rains (3oz rate). If you are no-till you may want to use Fierce XLT to get the classic to control the giant ragweed and marestail. In the no-till 15" a second pass was only needed for volunteer corn.

I liked Fierce because it is also a corn herbicide and carry over issues are not a concern. That being said we are using a different product this year since we had a lot of flat corn. Wanting something to help suppress the volunteer corn.

We did have some beans got burnt a bit from heavy rain splashing and we had some friendly fire, but that can happen with many pre's. Timing is everything.
