Casey Iowa
It is amazing how much different the rates are in different areas. We haul for ourselves and for hire and that 15 mile round trip in our area would only pa y 5 to 10 cents a bushel depending time it takes to load. It also depends on time of year rates will vary on the availability of trucks basically. For us we already own the trucks and we need good people in the fall full time so we employ them year around and maybe make a little but not much, if we didn't own for our own use it sure wouldn't be worth it around our area.
