Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | America has enjoyed not only military hegemony for the past seventy years but financial and economic hegemony as well. Are we really surprised when other countries seek to free their own economies from this self-same hegemony. It looks to me that rich bankers all around the world see that there is more money to be made by escaping from the tyranny of New York than staying with it any longer. I guess the world's biggest military can't buy you friends and loyalty forever. Or should I say servility. There are limits even to military power unless you're willing to use. |
