potentially. with the 80 psi your tire won't flex much, reducing the area on the ground increasing the "foot print, thus increasing the potential compaction. A radial is designed to flex. As the sidewall bulges, the length of the footprint streches out at a remarkable amount. Something a bias ply just can't do.
