Ducting can work well, but inspect frequently, especially if chaff was the issue. It can build up on a duct/baffle.
Vent the baffle in front of the fan blast and road speeds may "selfclean" it for you. Also plan on more heat transfer to the floor and firewall... not a problem if the A/C is working well.
