| Unless it's been going on for weeks, I wouldn't go to the doctor just yet before trying Alka Seltzer or other stronger heartburn medicines, and a change of diet with probiotics and easy to digest foods. That's probably what the doctor will try out at first, he won't put a scope down his throat on the first visit.
The patient should try to figure out what happened to cause this, maybe he took antibiotics or other medicines that affected his gut flora, or was exposed to chemicals recently. | |
