Spring Lake, MI | I own three of them: two newer Wacker-Neuson LTN6 and an older Amida-TerexAL4060 We use them during harvest for lighting up around the dryer, around the unload and for general area lighting. They are quite useful also for community festivals, etc. Easy set up, just pull and go. We rarely put down the stabilizer jacks.
About your question on power: the standard (narrow body) light towers will usually have enough capacity to run the 4x 1k lights and also provide service to a 15-20A receptacle. If you want more power for service tools, air compressor, etc. You may want to look at wide-body units, like the Wacker-Neuson LTW20.
FWIW: around the swing-hopper for unloading corn in harvest I purchased a light balloon. The light balloon provides exceptional quality light with very little shadow... a real plus when looking under the hopper trailers to unload trucks. The diffuse light also helps with safety around PTO shafts, etc. I think next time I'd consider extra light balloons and cut down to one or two light towers. The towers are quicker to set up, but the light balloon is hard to beat for quality.
During harvest, everybody seems to run on empty, providing an extra measure of brightness helps a lot!
