That has often crossed my mind. Why is it that a semi pulling 80,000 can get 6-10 mpgs and a pickup pulling 26,000 gets 6-10 mpg? a Semi is much safer and more comfortable to drive when pulling loads.
Semi's are getting 4-6 mpg. If someone can push 7 it's a very big deal. That guy that mentioned 9 is either full of it, or can't run a calculator. That said, the diesel pickups of 15-20 years ago had quite a bit better mileage before emissions and ridiculous horsepower tunes. |
