N.W. Ohio | I think you don't give enough info for anyone to give advice direct to your situation. Depends on Bu. hauled a year and distane hauled...ect. I think best way for you to come to a logical decision would be to lay out a spreadsheet with all the expenses of owning the truck and then bring that number back to the amount of hauling you would be doing with the truck. Similar to a cost of production calculation for corn/soybeans. If you take the time to come up with accurate numbers in your calculation, only then will you have your true answer. Perhaps someone on here has an example of a cost of ownership spreadsheet that they would share and then you could insert your own numbers. I doubt it is going to be a very great paying proposition once you run all the numbers. | |
