Western Nebraska | All of the Sportsmans we have owned, with the exception of the X2 have been carbureted(sp?). I have never had a problem with that part of the machine, except for one instance where the float got stuck and allowed the fuel to drain out of the tank into the cylinder. That was an issue on the 1999 and earlier models when they ran out of gas and you switched to reserve. They fixed that problem in subsequent years and we haven't had that problem since. The biggest difference I can see in the machines is in fuel efficiency. Plain and simple the non-EFI machines suck the gas down if you are pulling them very hard. The X2 seems to be quite a bit more efficient. | |
