Subject: RE: Combining CaseIH Air Bags with Precision Air Bags

Claremont,MN

you could probably do it but it would not work that well.  the reason is that on a AirForce system with lift bags the monitor uses both bags to fight each other to get the corrector down force setting.  the system will not deflate the down bags all the way before it starts inflating the lift bags.  when you select down and lift in the monitor it uses the lift bag to make quick adjustments to the system but if the system needs a large adjustment then it will use the down air bag. so you night have 30 psi in the down bag putting down 300# of down force but you might also have 15 psi of air in the lift bag creating 100# of lift giving the system 200# of actual down force if the front rows only have down they would be at 300# of down force not the 200# the system is calling for. the reason is that the lift bag is about 1/4th the size of the down bag and a smaller amount of air will be able to make a quicker adjustment.
