The owner's manual for our 8820 calls for regular multi-weight engine oil ( 15w-40 I believe) in the hydraulic system. The unit is a 1992 model so it could have changed in later years.
When we changed our oil I bought 15 gallons of Case IH # 1 engine oil but only was able to drain about half that by pulling a hose off the bottom of the hydraulic tank.
